Cinnamon Swirl Sweet Bread is a treat for any weekend. My family usually used this as a treat for special events like holidays, graduations, etc.
This recipe came from wanting to indulge these nicer weekends. The weather is getting nicer, the sun is up longer, brunch and happy hours with friends are more and more frequent. I certainly can’t show up empty handed.
Cinnamon Swirl Bread is the perfect addition to any get together. It is such a crowd pleaser. This recipe can be used as a quick breakfast item or used to satisfy your sweet tooth at the end of a meal.
The ingredients I used in this recipe are all wholesome, easy to find, ingredients. This helps to take the guilt out of cinnamon swirl sweet bread.
Cinnamon Swirl Bread
Ingredients
Batter
- 1 cup Vanilla Protein Powder
- ½ cup Ground Flaxseed
- ½ cup Almond Flour
- ¼ cup Almond Milk
- ½ cup Truvia or granulated sweetener of your choice
- ¼ cup Butter softened
- 4 Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
Cinnamon Swirl
- ¼ cup Butter melted
- ½ cup Brown Truvia or brown sweetener of your choice
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
Icing
- 1 cup Powdered Truvia or powdered sweetener of your choice
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- Almond Milk added to reach desired consistency
Instructions
Icing
- In a small bowl, combine powdered Truvia, cinnamon, and vanilla.
- Add almond milk one tsp at a time and stir until desired consistency is reached. Set aside
Cinnamon Swirl
- In another small bowl, mix together melted butter, brown Truvia, and cinnamon. Set aside
Batter
- In a larger bowl, mix together the butter, eggs, almond milk vanilla and Truvia.
- Then add baking powder, almond flour, flaxseed, and protein powder.
- Mix together until just combined.
Assembly
- Prep a 5×9 loaf pan with non stick spray. Preheat oven to 325°.
- Spread half of the batter into the bottom of the loaf pan. Dollop half of the cinnamon swirl mixture. Then add the rest of the batter, and dollop the rest of the cinnamon swirl slurry.
- Using a bread knife, swirl in the cinnamon slurry by dragging knife in circular motions around the whole bread.
- Bake for 50min at 325°
- When bread is done, cool slightly before drizzling icing all over the top.
