Homemade for the Holidays

Homemade for the Holidays creates a magical gift for those we appreciate the most by pouring your heart into a little something to cherish. Its that time of year! Jingle Bells, mistletoe, Fa-La-La and all that stuff. If you are anything like me – which if you are reading this, you probably are – its hard to reel it in when thinking of gifts for all of your co workers, friends, and family. I find that I want to get everyone, everything!

Lately, I have strayed away from filling a “quantity” of gifts but rather focused on the quality of the gifts I give to loved ones. I have found that gifting homemade, consumable treats is most appreciated. They are cost effective, don’t take up much space, and are so delicious. Also, who doesn’t love a small spread of treats throughout holiday gatherings? I love tasting different family recipes from all sorts of backgrounds!

Homemade Holidays – Cost Effective Gifting

Cost effectiveness matters around the holidays because it is so easy to get carried away and we have to remember that it is the thought that counts. It’s the time we’ve spent together all year that matters. The cherry on top is the little thoughtful gift given from the heart around the holidays. Best part about gifting homemade goodies? You only have to bake once and split up the goodies into multiple little packages. Voila! You are set for neighbors, co-workers, post worker, friends, extended family, etc. And you won’t break the bank!

Homemade Holidays – Space Saver Gifting

These consumable gifts are so easy because it leaves your recipient with a full tummy, not a full countertop! I cannot stand knick knacks that do nothing but take up space and bring me no joy at all. Baked goods don’t do that – I get to enjoy the taste of a different recipe and then toss the wrapping (or wash and reuse the container if possible!) It’s the most economical way to go with gift giving!

A Little Bit of This… A Little Bit of That…

Lastly, the best part of gifting homemade goods is that the recipient gets to try YOUR recipe and their other neighbor’s recipe and their co-worker’s recipe, etc. Most of all, these sorts of gifts are so easy to give and so appreciated to receive. It’s a win-win!
