Edible Cookie Dough

Looking for an after meal treat that hits just right? Look no further! This edible cookie dough is the best way to end the day.

Food is a love language of mine and one of my favorite ways to wind down at the end of the day is with a glass of wine, a good show, and a bowl of this edible cookie dough to share with my hunny. The way this calms my heart is incomparable.

Now, you don’t need to speak the love language of food to love this recipe – but I challenge you to indulge in something that may be better for you. It’s ingredients that are staples in our kitchen and takes no time at all to create.

Ingredients

Nut Butter – Any kind will do – pick your favorite! We usually have peanut butter or almond butter in the house at all times. I also find that all natural nut butter that maybe has a bit of oil separation works really well with this recipe.

Protein Powder – Again, any kind will do, so pick your favorite! I have used both plant based protein and whey protein in this recipe. I specifically created this recipe using Arbonne’s plant based pea protein but found flexibility in using different protein powders and flavors!

Almond Milk – This ingredient is used to get the consistency just right for you. I found that I like my cookie dough to look and feel like cookie dough so it is a bit thicker and pliable like cookie dough. My husband, however, prefers it to be a bit more runny and smooth so his cookie dough recipe would use more almond milk. I start with the two tablespoons as is in the recipe but then will add more to get the consistency right.

Add-ins – This is where your creativity and the flexibility in this recipe take flight! Here are a few of my combo suggestions:

Peanut Butter – Chocolate Protein

Peanut Butter – Chocolate Protein – Chocolate Chips

Peanut Butter – Vanilla Protein – Oats

Almond Butter – Vanilla Protein – dash of cinnamon

Almond Butter – Vanilla Protein – Chocolate Chips

Almond Butter – Vanilla Protein – Sprinkles

Almond Butter – Chocolate Protein – Shredded Coconut

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup Nut Butter any kind
  • 2 tbsp Protein Powder any flavor - Vegan if preferred
  • 2 tbsp Almond Milk more if needed for desired consistency
  • 2 tbsp add ins such as chocolate chips, raisins, M&Ms, sprinkles, etc

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients together in a cereal bowl and enjoy!
